Abstract: The Eight Steps to Proper Previous HitSoilNext Hit Remediation

By

John L. Sullivan

Southwest Previous HitSoilNext Hit Remediation, Ltd. is a Houston-based PST Previous HitsoilNext Hit recycling facility. SSR is approved by the TNRCC as a Class A treatment facility allowed to accept and recycle non-hazardous petroleum-contaminated soils. SSR is also registered as a Class B treatment facility and is capable of mobilizing and recycling materials on a client's location.

Recycling is an approved technology under Subchapter K of TAC 334. Petroleum-contaminated soils are recycled into stabilized base and construction materials. SSR uses an eight-stage process that consists of the following:

  1. Waste profiling and waste approval
  2. Material movement
  3. Materials handling - upon receipt
  4. Pre-recycling analyses
  5. Recycling
  6. Post-recycling analyses
  7. Storage and placement of recycled materials
  8. Compliance records keeping

Previous HitSoilTop recycling may be a cost-effective remediation alternative to landfill disposal.
