Title: Origin of the Sespe Formation of South Mountain, California

Author(s): Philip W. Reinhart (2)

Abstract:

Mechanical analyses of rock samples, field observation of features such as cross-bedding, and reports of other investigators lead the writer to the conclusion that the Sespe formation originated as an alluvial-fan deposit, under warm, semi-arid conditions.
