Title: The Geology of the Edison Oil Field: ABSTRACT

Author(s): E. B. Noble, W. D. Kleinpell

Article Type: Meeting abstract

Abstract:

The field is in an early stage of development, but there is sufficient data to suggest that the oil accumulation is due mainly to the thinning out of beds up the dip. Production at the present time is obtained from two zones, one of heavy oil from the Kern River and another of lighter oil from the Middle

and Lower Miocene. No production has as yet been obtained in this field from the Upper Miocene (Santa Margarita).
