Abstract:
Petroleum production in western Europe in 1953 showed a relatively high increase of 20 per cent over 1952 compared with a worldwide increase of slightly more than 5 per cent. Daily average production in 1953 was 67,360 barrels, the major part of approximately 42,000 barrels being produced in Germany, 16,000 barrels in the Netherlands, 7,000 barrels in France, and the balance in Great Britain and Italy.
