Title: Early Eocene Angular Unconformity at Western Front of

Author(s): Gerald M. Miller

Abstract:

The following correction pertains to a quotation in the geological note entitled "Early Eocene Angular Unconformity at Western Front of Northern Cascades, Whatcom County, Washington," Am. Assoc. Petroleum Geologists Bull., v. 47, no. 1, p. 163-174, Jan., 1963, by Gerald M. Miller and Peter Misch.

On page 171 of this geological note, the quotation of Rouse (1962) which reads "some evidence suggests a Cretaceous age" was taken from an abstract, entitled "Plant Microfossils from the Burrard Formation of Western British Columbia," in the University of Tulsa, Petroleum Abstracts, v. 2, no. 22, June, 1962, Abs. 2-4314.

Subsequent examination of the original article by Rouse entitled, "Plant Microfossils from the Burrard Formation of Western British Columbia," published in Micropaleontology, v. 8, no. 2, p. 187-218, reveals that the University of Tulsa abstract is incorrect and the quotation should read "Comparisons with other micro- and macro-floras suggest that Upper Cretaceous and middle Eocene ages are both represented within the rock formation."
