Author(s): W. Lynn Kreidler (2)

Abstract:

In 1964, drilling activities for natural gas increased from 1963, but gas production decreased by 18 per cent. Thirteen wells were completed to the Oriskany, and one to the Onondaga. Forty-four wells were drilled to the Medina-Queenston-Clinton gas sands. Sixteen wells tested formations below the Queenston. There were 157 oil field development wells drilled in 1964. Oil production increased almost 12 per cent from 1963.
