Title: Developments in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico in 1964

Author(s): Victor W. Rogers (2)

Abstract:

The total number of wells drilled in the West Texas-Southeastern New Mexico area increased because of an increase in the number of development wells drilled. Oil production increased slightly, partly because of increased production from supplemental recovery projects. The general exploratory trend was away from remote, little-explored provinces and toward established producing provinces. Greatest competition was in the eastern Delaware basin and contiguous provinces.
