Author(s): Zuhair Al-Shaieb (2), Richard W. Olmsted (3), John W. Shelton (2), Richard T. May (2), Richard T. Owens (3), Richard E. Hanson (2)

Uranium-bearing sandstones and/or sandstones with radioactive anomalies are present in (1) oil-producing structural features in southern Oklahoma with altered Permian sandstones at the surface, (2) Lower Permian channel sandstones on gentle local structural features in association with major structural elements in southern Oklahoma, (3) Permian-Pennsylvanian alluvial-fan deposits associated with the Wichita and Arbuckle uplifts, (4) Permian tidal-flat (possibly sabkha) sandstone-siltstones in western Oklahoma, and (5) oil-productive Pennsylvanian sandstone in northeastern Oklahoma.
