Title: Oil and Gas Developments in North-Central Texas in 1986

Abstract:

During 1986, the total number of wells drilled in north-central Texas decreased 36.34% compared to 1985. In Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) District 7B, successful development wells drilled decreased by 40.6%, and successful exploratory wells drilled decreased by 57.5%. The total number of wells drilled in RRC District 7B decreased 38.5% compared to 1985. RRC District 9 also had significant declines. Successful development wells drilled decreased 34.5%, and successful exploratory wells drilled decreased 29.9%. The total number of wells drilled in RRC District 9 decreased 33.3% compared to 1985.
