New Data on the Problem of the Permian-Triassic Boundary in the Far East
Abstract
In ashstone and siltstone of the uppermost part of the Lyudyanza horizon in South Primorye a representative complex of Late Changxingian ammonoids (17 species, 10 genera) has been recently discovered. New data confirm the existence of a complete section for the Upper Permian in South Primorye and allow correlation of the uppermost Lyudyanza horizon (Pleuronodoceratidae-Liuchengoceras beds, Xenodiscus-Posidonia beds and Huananoceras qianjiangense beds) with the upper zones of the Changxing Formation (Pleuronodoceras-Rotodiscoceras zone) in South China and uppermost Dorashamian (Pleurondoceras occidentale zone) in Transcaucasia.
