Abstract
Abstract: Mineral Resources, Other than Oil and Gas, and their Effect on U. S. Industry
William B. Mather
ABSTRACT
The economic progress of a nation is reflected not only by its consumption of raw materials but also by industrial demands for a great diversity of essential mineral raw materials and the ability to provide an adequate source of supply. This paper briefly discusses the present diversity of metallic and non-metallic raw material requirements of American industry and our ability to secure adequate sources of these materials.
