Seismic Modeling of Porosity Distribution in a Miocene Reef, Salawati Island, Indonesia

Abstract
Waveform interpretation, aided by modeling (computer simulation), of phase-corrected seismic acoustic impedance logs has been used success fully to delineate porous zones in a lime stone reef. Ambiguities exist in the interpretation; for instance, porous dolomite can be mistaken for tight limestone.
