KNOX LOGGING Y2K

Brad S. Posner, Schlumberger Oilfield Services, 3401 East Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701

ABSTRACT

Technological advancements during the 1990's have changed the face of wireline logging in the Knox. New generation resistivity and density measurements, and the advent of Magnetic Resonance and Formation Imaging tools has led to better log interpretation and characterization of the reservoirs below the Knox unconformity. Improvements of tool design and combinability has allowed for shorter tool strings with measurements of higher resolution and accuracy.
