Abstract
Dwarfed Protozoan Faunas: Environmental Significance
Cecil G. Lalicker
ABSTRACT
It is believed dwarfed protozoan faunas are caused by variations in the kind and amount of food, temperature of the water, chemical composition and physical conditions of the water, hydrogen-ion concentration, and light. Studies and experiments of the effects of variations of these factors upon the size and shape of living protozoans are discussed. Several dwarfed foraminiferal faunas are described.
