Abstract
Sediment Movement in Relation to Current Velocity
Henry W. Menard
ABSTRACT
Experiments in flumes indicate that the type of movement on a bed of sand may be correlated with mean current velocity. The bottom conditions to be expected if a given current acts on a sand of a given grain size in shallow water are shown in graphic form, and the conditions are discussed.
