Abstract
So-called Turbidite Structures: NOTES
Ph. H. Kuenen
ABSTRACT
The term "turbidite structures" recently used by Sen is better avoided, because only a combination of features together with the absence of others can he diagnostic. The distinction in meaning between the terms "turbidites" and "fluviatile deposits" should not be confused. The explanation of convolute lamination by exaggeration of ripple mark is supported by experimental results.
