A Simple Nongravimetric Method for the Determination of Carbon Dioxide

Malcolm K. A. Farrow

ABSTRACT

The method described depends upon the pH change produced, in a solution of sodium hydroxide, by the absorption of carbon dioxide. Using 50 ml of 0.01N sodium hydroxide, from 2 to 9 mg of carbon dioxide may be determined. The sensitivity at the middle of this range is 0.22 mg.
