Baronang & Cakalang Farm Out Opportunity

Staff of Lundin

Abstract

The Cakalang and Baronang blocks in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia are still risked on the basis of kitchen/charge access issues. Numerous dry holes on late Miocene inversion structures have severely prejudiced the industry. The next exploration phase should focus on paleo-structures on the margin of the basin. The Cakalang and Baronang blocks are ideally positioned with broad old structural nose with multiple trapping geometries and have shallow, multiple objectives in proven reservoirs. Basin margin exploration has yet to be attempted in the Baronang and Cakalang blocks.
