Farmin opportunities S. Island, New Zealand

Chris McKeown

Abstract

The Western Southland of New Zealand is under explored with similar stratigraphy to Taranaki Basin. L&M Petroleum's permits hold exploration potential with numerous hydrocarbon indicators including seismic identified and mapped drillable prospects and several additional identified substantial sized leads. Opportunity to acquire a substantial position over the entire basin is currently possible. There is easy access to both land and sea transportation infrastructure with a market demand for gas to supply local industry and electricity. Favorable terms for farm-in include good fiscal terms from New Zealand Regulator (Crown Minerals) and a very low country risk.
