Baronang and Cakalang PSCs

Suzy Carmody

Abstract

Baronang and Cakalang blocks are adjoining blocks in the West Natuna Basin, offshore Indonesia. 11 basin-margin prospects matured on 3-D seismic have potential for clustered development. An additional 4 basin-centered leads have been identified on 2-D in Baronang. Stratigraphic onlap potential has been identified in both Baronang and Cakalang on 2D and 3D seismic. The Baronang and Cakalang blocks possess all the necessary ingredients for successful oil exploration including proven reservoirs, seals, structures and an oil generating kitchen. Opportunities for farmout deals in the Baronang and Cakalang blocks are available.
