The Evolving Gas Story in SE Asia

Andy Butler

Abstract

The gas story in South East Asia is continually evolving. What will happen to the price, demand, supply, and exploration? Are unconventionals becoming a reality? According to Wood Mackenzie "SE Asia LNG markets will account for a third of overall Asian LNG demand growth by 2025, growing by 45 mmtpa." Asia- Pacific can absorb new gas supplies with Canada being a prime source. The price floor is expected to be set at ~$10/mmbtu.
