Opportunities in the North West Shelf of Western Australia

Philip Huizenga, Jeff Goodall

Abstract

Carnarvon Petroleum is an Australian Company which is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: CVN) with cash and assets of ∼A$60 million. The company has a focused North West Shelf (NWS) business model. The NWS is a prolific oil and gas region with opportunities in underexplored areas and play types. Carnarvon Petroleum has NWS knowledge & experience, assets and success; and has continued to acquire quality acreage. Current opportunities include the Cerberus blocks and Greater Phoenix & WA-521 blocks. The Cerberus blocks are shallow water, shallow targets with significant potential. The WA-521 block is adjacent to proven petroleum systems with multiple leads identified. Carnarvon is open to ideas regarding partnering across entire existing and future portfolio.
