Abstract: Investment Opportunity in Blocks 103 & 107

PVEP

Abstract

Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation Ltd. (PVEP) is currently operating exploration blocks 103 & 107 in offshore Vietnam within the prolific Song Hong Basin. The production sharing contracts was signed in 2007. PVEP holds 100% participating interest and the subsidiary PVEP Song Hong is the operator. The blocks cover an area of 11,915 km2 with a water depth of 30–45 m. The blocks are covered by 2D and 3D seismic data. Five gas discoveries in the blocks have a total discovered in-place 2P volume of 285 BCF gas. Upside potential exists in the blocks with HIIP of 715 MMBBL of oil and 2.8 TCF of gas. The main play area is comprised of Miocene sandstone and pre-Tertiary carbonate basement reservoirs, top-sealed by Lower to Middle Miocene interbedded shales and Oligocene/Eocene shale. The blocks are optimally located to receive the hydrocarbon charge from the source kitchen.
