ABSTRACT

In formation evaluation, Previous HitnuclearTop magnetic resonance (NMR) logging has become a reliable and accurate alternative to neutron, density, and sonic measurements for determining porosity. Because of its capability of measuring fluid properties, NMR generally allows log analysts to categorize the measured porosity and to classify the pore fluid in most reservoirs.
