Abstract: Previous HitSeismicNext Hit and Landsat in a Wrench Faulting System

By

G. Pat Bolden

Three high-multiplicity Previous HitseismicNext Hit profiles demonstrate the compressional nature of the faulting along the Double Mountain lineament in northeast Garza County in the Permian Basin. NASA high-altitude imagery using Landsat parameters delineate the traces of these faults on the surface.

Both east-west and north-south Previous HitseismicNext Hit profiles define the Double Mountain Lineament and the associated faulting. A one-mile-wide pop-up block bound by high-angle reverse faults demonstrates the compressional nature of the faulting. This structure has been drilled with several Strawn and Ellenburger producers, confirming the Previous HitseismicTop, high-altitude imagery, and subsurface interpretation.
