Geochemistry is a cost-effective way to reduce risk in exploration
and production operations and is available to every company
through consulting laboratories. Geochemical data are the keystone
of petroleum systems analysis that can help high-grade prospects
in productive basins as well as frontier areas. Reservoir
geo-chemistry has many applications in oil field development
and production operations. Looking at old areas in new ways with
geochemistry often uncovers overlooked resources.
