technology has evolved rapidly. Our most difficult
concerns have changed from borehole stability and drilling
techniques to completion, stimulation, and formation evaluation.
Tomorrow's challenge lies in precisely steering the well path
using formation geological and geophysical information. This
technique is called "geosteering" and is credited with major
improvements in drilling
results. This presentation will review
the state-of-the-art in geosteering and includes field examples.
