The Maverick Previous HitBasinNext Hit is a small carbonate Previous HitbasinNext Hit geographically associated with the large sand- and shale-rich Gulf Coast Previous HitBasinNext Hit. Oil company managers have often rejected exploration programs for the Maverick Previous HitBasinNext Hit in favor of more glamorous objectives in the Gulf Coast Previous HitBasinNext Hit. As a result, the Maverick Previous HitBasinNext Hit has remained under-explored. In the past 10 years, new technologies like 3-D seismic and directional drilling have led to new plays and significant increases in production in the Maverick Previous HitBasinNext Hit. Three-D seismic has been absolutely essential. It has defined the structural Previous HitframeworkNext Hit of the Previous HitbasinNext Hit and found new reef trends and unique structural plays. Directional drilling is now allowing operators to produce oil and gas from low-permeability reservoirs that have been troublesome in the past. Current activities place the Maverick Previous HitBasinTop at the threshold of prominence for oil and gas exploration in the Gulf Coast area.
