Title: The Subdivision of the Enid Formation

Author(s): F. L. Aurin, H. G. Officer, Charles N. Gould

Abstract:

As the result of the work of a number of geologists in northern Oklahoma during the past few years, the Enid formation which, as originally generally described, included the Permian red beds of Oklahoma below the Blaine gypsum, is subdivided into six formations, named in ascending order, the Stillwater, Wellington, Garber, Hennessey, Duncan, and Chickasha.

This paper, written as the result of a field conference in this region in March, 1926, describes these various formations and discusses their correlation.
