Abstract:

Mexico is divided into five physiographic provinces and a generalized description is given of the lithologic character of each of these provinces. A synopsis is given of the formations representing the Proterozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic eras and their component periods. Brief mention is made of some type fossils found and of the economic importance of certain parts of the section.
