The correlation section extends from outcrop in Pyramid Hills, Sec. 16, T. 28 S., R. 29 E., M.D.B.&M., west through the Round Mountain, Kern River, Fruitvale, Gosford, Ten Section, Coles Levee, Elk Hills, and Cymric oil fields to an outcrop section in the vicinity of Zemorra Creek in Sec. 9, T. 29 S., R. 20 E., M.D.B.&M. The section
illustrates the correlation of the various surface and subsurface lithologic units with the recognized time-stratigraphic units across the valley.
