Title: Oil and Gas Developments in Kentucky in 1953

Abstract:

In 1953 there was a definite decline in both drilling activity and production in all three sections of Kentucky. Oil production declined approximately ½ million barrels and gas production was off more than a billion cubic feet from the previous year. There was decided increase in deeper drilling throughout the state.
