Title: Oil and Gas Developments in Kentucky in 1954

Abstract:

In 1954 there was a slight decline in drilling activity in the eastern and central sections with a definite increase in the western section. Oil production increased almost 2 million barrels, to reach a new record. Gas production declined more than a billion cubic feet from the previous year. There was a decided decrease in deeper drilling throughout the state.
