Title: Oil and Gas Developments in Kentucky in 1963

Abstract:

Oil production in Kentucky increased about 1 million bbls. over the previous year, with a gross of 18,844,122 bbls. Gas production also showed a significant increase to 73,658,561 MCF as a result of new producing areas in western Kentucky. Total drilling activity was up slightly as the result of increased interest in Hopkins County in western Kentucky which had 283 completions, and Metcalfe County in central Kenctuky which had 289 completions.
