Abstract:

Exploration activity decreased during 1967, drilling was down 4%, seismograph activity down 40%, and new-field discoveries down 19%. Development wells increased 4% to 693. The Eocene was the most successfully drilled trend, the Oligocene the most actively drilled, and Miocene drilling increased 77%.
