Abstract:
Lower Devonian brachiopods, correlative with the Trematospira Zone of Oriskany age of central Nevada, were found in the basal dolomitic sandy member of the Devonian section in the northern Nopah Range of southeastern California. The fossils show physical evidence of reworking and are judged to have been derived from nearby areas where similar fossils are known to be present at the top of the Hidden Valley Dolomite.
