Abstract:
The Lost River Chert, a useful stratigraphic marker in southern Indiana and west-central Kentucky, on the west side of the Cincinnati arch, is suggested to be a more extensive unit than has been recorded. A similar zone, thought to be stratigraphically equivalent, is present on the east side of the Cincinnati arch in Pulaski and Wayne Counties, Kentucky.
