Title: Petroleum Developments in Middle East Countries in 1969

Abstract:

Petroleum production in Middle East countries in 1969 totaled 4,525,475,000 bbl at an average rate of 12,398,561 b/d, compared with 4,113,838,000 bbl or 11,239,995 b/d in 1968. The principal production increases were in Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Oman.

New fields were found in Iraq, Iran, and Abu Dhabi.

There were no exploratory activities in Bahrain, Qatar, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al Qawain, Dhofar, Hadhramaut, Aden-Kamaran Islands, Yemen, or Lebanon. The main areas of exploratory work were in Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia-Red Sea, and the southern Gulf (both onshore and offshore).
