Title: Exploration in Oklahoma and Panhandle of Texas in 1970

Abstract:

A marked decline in exploratory drilling and success was experienced in 1970. Development drilling was also down, but both of these categories were still higher than in 1968. Geophysical activity declined significantly for the second year in a row. The Anadarko basin received more emphasis than the rest of the reporting area except for the number of exploratory tests.
