Title: Petroleum Exploration Activities in Israel During 1970

Abstract:

At year end 10 companies or groups held petroleum rights in Israel. Total footage drilled increased from 18,509 ft in 1969 to 77,595 ft in 1970. No commercial discoveries resulted from 10 wells drilled. Production of crude oil and gas decreased from 1969. Exploration highlight of the year was the drilling of offshore wells, after 7 years of preparatory surveys.
