Abstract:
Continued rapid expansion of drilling in north-central Texas during 1975 produced a 34% increase in well completions compared with 1974. The impact of strong oil and gas prices caused a 9% increase in exploratory-well completions, and a 48% increase in development wells. The exploratory-well success ratio dropped to 15.5%. Gas-well completions totaled a record 316. Oil production decreased by 6%, and gas production increased by 3%.
