Abstract:
In north-central Texas total drilling increased by 9% over 1975, and the wildcat success rate increased to 19.9%. Development of the numerous gas-bearing Atoka clastic rocks on the west flank of the Ft. Worth basin continued strongly, and gas completions increased by 18% to 388. Considerable shallow oil development continued in old producing areas. Oil production declined by 4.6% and gas production increased by 4%.
