Abstract:

Rapid intra-Cretaceous subsidence rates (> 50 to > 150 m/m.y.) in the eastern United States are not masked by use of different recently published time scales by Obradovich and Cobban, or by van Hinte. Of particular note is the Aptian-Albian pulse of rapid subsidence.
