Abstract:
AAPG Bull., v. 66, no. 9 (September 1982), "Nuclear Magnetic Resonance: A Techniique for Direct Nondestructive Evaluation of Source-Rock Potential," by Frances P. Miknis, J. Ward Smith, Edwin K. Maughan, and Gary E. Maciel: p. 1396, second column, first line. Two sentences should be changed to read: "These questions arise from the difficulty in evaluating the effects of the mineral matter to the S3 (CO2) peak and S2 (hydrocarbon yield) peak in the pyrograms. Katz (1981) suggested that the mineral matrix composition, especially for leaner rocks, can affect the S2 peak because of differences in their retention characteristics."
