Abstract:

Traditional theory of petroleum exploration has faced two problems: (1) it has not used modern chemical principles to study oil generation, and (2) it has not used modern filter-fluid mechanics to compute oil migration and accumulation. This paper discusses one aspect of the chemical principles involved.
