Title: Oil and Gas Developments in the Northern Rockies in 1987

Abstract:

Drilling in the northern Rockies decreased again in 1987 with 1,286 wells completed compared to 1,535 wells completed in 1986. Exploratory drilling resulted in 92 oil wells and 14 gas wells for a success rate of 20.0%. Development drilling resulted in 581 successful wells and 174 dry holes for a success rate of 77.0%.
