Magnesium/Calcium Ratio Examinations from the Slave Point Formation
L. A. Sikabonyi
ABSTRACT
The Versenate Titration method of determining Mg/Ca relationships was applied to Middle Devonian carbonates of the central Alberta Slave Point Formation. The results plotted from six wells show a straight line relationship between porosity, textural character, and magnesium content, and systematic application of this technique to the formation in the interest of oil-finding is recommended.
