Ghost River Type Section

J. D. Aitken

ABSTRACT

The Main Ranges Cambrian succession is recognizable in the Ghost River type section; the name "Ghost River" is therefore redundant. Pre-Fairholme Devonian rocks, largely detrital red beds, are very thin at the "Ghost River" type section, but thicken considerably in a sub-Devonian channel nearby.
