Abstracts of Papers: Macropalaeontology of the Surface Formations, Cypress Hills Area, Alberta and Saskatchewan

The surface formations of the Cypress Hills area contain various fossil assemblages, as follows: Foremost Formation, brackish-water and freshwater mollusks, some vertebrates; Oldman Formation, freshwater and land mollusks, land vertebrates including dinosaurs; Bearpaw Formation, Previous HitmarineNext Hit invertebrates, including ammonites, and Previous HitmarineNext Hit reptiles; Eastend Formation, Previous HitmarineTop mollusks locally; Frenchman Formation, vertebrates including dinosaurs of latest Cretaceous age; Ravenscrag Formation, freshwater mollusks, aquatic vertebrates, plants, of Paleocene aspect; Cypress Hills Formation, in its eastern development, vertebrates, especially mammals, of early Oligocene age.
