The Determination of Potassium in Oil Field Brines by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry: GEOLOGICAL NOTE
G. K. Billings
ABSTRACT
An atomic absorption technique has been developed for the determination of K in oil field brines. Accuracy and precision tests indicate the method is satisfactory for routine analysis. A matrix interference by Na may be compensated for by using a standard-addition procedure.
